Job Description Job Description Job Title: Library Technician Location: Washington Navy Yard, DC Duties: * Supporting typical library functions to include basic circulation and collection management tasks (shelf-reading, re-shelving, stack maintenance, inventorying, cleaning/dusting) * Digitizing and organizing documents * Inputting data and/or metadata into library systems, databases, and other documents * Reproducing, collating, transcribing, and reviewing relevant documents * Developing and designing document templates * Compiling information in support of reference requests, publications, or historical products * Assisting with Library Branch information technology and equipment * Editing written documents and digital files * Office coverage, task management, and follow-up of phone calls, meetings, email requests, and various other forms of correspondence. * Follow-up to ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule and according to expectations. Education & Qualifications: * Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience providing library paraprofessional support. * Possess and maintain a minimum clearance level of is National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI).
